The Validation Plugin provides a range of customization options ensuring flexibility in form validation process.
When working with different validations, each type comes with its own set of configurations, divided into two scopes:
- Global Scope Configuration
- Element Scope Configuration
Global Configurations
Global validation configuration will apply to all element of a particular type in all forms, unless override at the element scope level.
Not all validation plugin has a configurable global settings.

To access the global configuration for an element:
- Login to your Joomla! Administrator
- Go to Formea Form Builder » Element Types
- Click on the "element name"
Element Configuration
Element scope configuration will apply to each element of a particular type individually. Multiple elements of same type can have it's own settings and configurations
The example below is for an element type "Country & States"

To access the configuration for an element:
- Login to your Joomla! Administrator
- Go to Formea Form Builder » Elements
- Click on the "element name"
- Click on the tab "elementName" Parameters
